If a franchise uses RTM, the team buying the player in the auction gets another chance to increase the bid. The bid can be increased to any extent. The players benefited tremendously from this on the first day.

Arshdeep Singh

Right to Match card was used for Arshdeep Singh as soon as the auction started in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. There was a lot of bidding for Arshdeep. Sunrisers bid Rs 15.75 crore. Punjab Kings used their RTM as expected. The ball was now in Hyderabad’s court. He increased the bid to Rs 18 crore. Punjab added Arshdeep for Rs 18 crore.

Rishabh Pant

Due to Right to Match card, Rishabh Pant broke Shreyas Iyer’s record. Pant remains the most expensive player. Lucknow Super Giants bought Pant for Rs 20.75 crore. After this Delhi Capitals used the Right to Match card. Lucknow increased the bid to Rs 27 crore. Delhi did not include him with itself.

Naman Dheer

Naman Dheer was one of the four successful RTMs at the end of the first day of the IPL auction. Whom Mumbai Indians added to their fold. Rajasthan Royals increased the bid from Rs 3.40 crore to Rs 5.25 crore, after which Mumbai signed Naman for Rs 5.25 crore.
