Israel attacked the Iran’s capital on Friday morning and targeted the country’s nuclear program after which the possibility of a widespread war between two staunch opponents of West Asia has intensified. It is considered to be the biggest attack on Iran after the war with Iraq in the 1980s. Israel also targeted Iran’s main nuclear enrichment center and after the attack, black smoke was seen rising in the air. Hussain salute, the chief general of Iran’s paramilitary force ‘Revolutionary Guard’, died in the Israeli attack. The country’s government television gave this information in its news. It is believed that top military officers and scientists have also been killed in these attacks. The attack took place amid the increasing tension over Iran’s rapidly growing nuclear program.

India on Iran-Israel confrontation

India said on Friday that it is very concerned about recent developments between Iran and Israel and is keeping a ‘close eye’ on the emerging situation. New Delhi has urged both countries to avoid any kind of stress -enhancing steps.

Israel attacked many places including nuclear enrichment centers in Iran

 The Ministry of External Affairs also said that all Indian citizens in the area have been advised to take care, stay safe and follow local security counseling. The Ministry of External Affairs issued this statement amidst increasing tension between Iran and Israel. According to reports, Israel has attacked several places including nuclear enrichment centers in Iran. The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has also confirmed this. The Ministry of External Affairs said in a statement, “We express deep concern over recent developments between Iran and Israel.We are closely monitoring the emerging situation along with the news related to attacks on nuclear sites. ‘

In the backdrop of increasing tension in West Asia, India urged both sides to ‘avoid any kind of stress -enhancing steps’. The Ministry of External Affairs said that “the existing mediums of diplomacy and dialogue should be used to reduce stress.” India has emphasized that it has’ close and friendly relations’ with the two countries and is ready to give every possible support to reduce stress’.
