On Odisha emerging as the best performing state among the states listed in NITI Aayog’s first Fiscal Health Index (FHI) report for 2022-2023, former Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Saturday said the state was ranked first in terms of financial insolvency. It is a pleasure to see. Chief Minister Mohan Majhi also lauded the state’s achievement, saying in a post on ‘X’, “Odisha tops the ranking of fiscal health among 18 major states in the country. The state tops with a score of 67.8, followed by Chhattisgarh and Goa.
He said, “As per the NITI Aayog report, the achieving states have excelled in strong fiscal health, revenue mobilization, expenditure management and debt sustainability.” However, Patnaik expressed happiness over the report. Because this achievement of the state was made during his tenure as the Chief Minister of Odisha.
Patnaik said in a post on Odisha, Chhattisgarh, Goa and Jharkhand, rich in mineral wealth, have emerged as top states in fiscal management, NITI Aayog’s first fiscal health index released on Friday (FHI) have emerged as top performing achievers among the states listed in the report.
