Every day there are some headlines in Stan cricket. Sometimes there is infighting among the players of the team and there are reports of changes in staff and coaches by the board, this is common in Pakistan cricket. Recently, Jason Gillespie, who was the Test head coach of Pakistan cricket team, had resigned from his post. After which Gillespie himself has broken his silence after leaving the post. He also made a scathing attack on PCB and said that he was never wanted as a coach. He also said that communication between him and the PCB was not clear and the dismissal of high performance coach Tim Nielsen ultimately forced him to step down.

Speaking to ABC Sports, Gillespie said there were certainly challenges. I went into this position with open eyes, I want to make this clear. I knew that, you know Pakistan has changed many coaches in a very short period of time.

He further said that, I think the biggest problem was that as a head coach you like to have clear communication with your employer. I was completely surprised by the decision not to hire a high performance coach.

Jason Gillespie also revealed that he was completely surprised by the decision not to hire a high-performance coach. He explained that the feedback he had been given regarding Nielsen and the team’s performance had been positive, so there was no reason to fire the high-performance coach.

Gillespie further explained that, Tim Nielsen was told that his services were no longer required, and I did not hear from anyone about this. I thought there were so many other things that had happened over the past few months that maybe this was the time when I thought, okay, I’m really not sure if they really want me to do this job or not.
