Joint military exercise ‘Shakti 2025’ organized between India and France, a contingent of army with 90 personnel departs

A contingent of the Indian Army with 90 personnel left for France to participate in the 8th edition of the India-France joint military exercise ‘Shakti’. According to a Defense Ministry release, members of Jammu and Kashmir Rifles as well as other weapons and services, from June 18 to July 1, will participate in the exercise to be held at La Cavalry’s Camp Larajack in France. Meanwhile, the French contingent with 90 personnel will be represented by the 13th Foreign Legion Half-Brigade (13th DBLE). The purpose of the practice is to increase inter-circulation between the two countries and strengthen strategic relations. According to the release, the practice will highlight the increasing defense cooperation between India and France.

Biennial training exercises ‘Shakti’ focuses on joint operations in the sub-traditional environment under the Chapter VII of the United Nations Charter, in which training is conducted in semi-urban areas. The exercise will serve as a platform for both armies to rehearsed and refine strategic exercises, share the best practices in strategy, technology and procedures (TTPs) and to train on new generation equipment, including contemporary military technologies, including contemporary military technologies. It will also promote physical stamina, team spirit, mutual respect and professional harmony between the two armies.

This version of ‘Shakti’ deepens the military-to-monsoon relations and operational coordination between India and France, aligning with their widespread strategic partnership.
The release states that power practice is biennial training between Indian and French forces, aimed at intermission, operational coordination and military contact with military.
