Kailash Manasarovar Yatra | Kailash Mansarovar passengers will facilitate? Nathu La and Lipulekh La declared temporary immigration post

The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday nominated Nathu La in Sikkim and Lipulekh La (Gunji) in Uttarakhand as an authorized immigration check posts on a temporary basis for the pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra to enter India and go out of India. The Ministry of External Affairs organizes Kailash Mansarovar Yatra through two routes – Lipulekh Pass and Nathu La Pass during June -September every year.

Kailash Mansarovar passengers will facilitate?

The Union Home Ministry on Monday declared Nathu La in Sikkim and Lipulekh La located in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand for the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra on Monday. This arrangement has been made to facilitate pilgrims’ entry and exit in India. The Ministry of External Affairs organizes the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra from Lipulekh Pass and Nathu La Pass from June to September every year. The yatra was suspended in the year 2020 due to the Kovid-19 epidemic and after that the Indo-China border was postponed due to tension. This journey is now starting again.

Nathu La and Lipulekh La declared temporarily authorized immigration post 

In a notification issued from the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Central Government has nominated Nathu La Czech-Post located in East Sikkim district as an authorized immigration check-post on a temporary basis to enter India with legitimate travel documents for pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra.

Passport (Admission to India) Rules 1950  

In a similar notification, the Ministry of Home Affairs said that in accordance with the Passport (Admission to India) Rules, 1950, the Central Government has named Lipukra La Czech-Post located in Pithoragarh district of Uttarakhand as an authorized immigration post on a temporary basis for the pilgrims of Kailash Mansarovar Yatra for Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. This place is the abode of Lord Shiva for Hindus and is also sacred for Jain and Buddhist communities. The journey is open to eligible Indian citizens with only valid Indian passports, who want to go to Kailash Mansarovar for religious objectives.
