The oath ceremony was conducted by American Attorney General Palm Bondi in the Indian Treaty Room at the ‘Eyeshwar Executive Office Building’ (EEOB) in the White House campus. He asked Patel to put his hand on the Gita and raise his right hand to take oath.

He came to America from Canada in 1970. Patel’s parents are now retired and spend their time in both America and Gujarat.
