Washington. Kash Patel, the newly appointed director of the Federal Investigation Bureau of Investigation, is in the news after officially sworn in. His decision to take oath on the Hindu scripture Bhagavad Gita is similar to his previous criticism of Western media coverage at the Ram temple in Ayodhya.

He has become the first Indian-American to lead the country’s major law enforcement agency. Patel’s family members and his female friends were present during the oath ceremony on Friday. The oath ceremony was conducted by American Attorney General Palm Bondi in the Indian Treaty Room at the ‘Eyeshwar Executive Office Building’ (EEOB) in the White House campus. He asked Patel to put his hand on the Gita and raise his right hand to take oath.

Patel said, “I am living an American dream. Anyone who thinks that the American dream is dead, see it here. You are talking to the first generation Indian child, who is going to lead the greatest nation on the green earth of God, the law enforcement community. This cannot happen anywhere else. ”Patel, born in New York, belongs to Gujarat. However, his parents are from East Africa. His mother is from Tanzania and her father is from Uganda. He came to America from Canada in 1970. Patel’s parents are now retired and spend their time in both America and Gujarat.
