There is news of two major arrests in Canada. One arrest has been made of Khalistani terrorist and the other arrest has been made in the case of attack on Hindu temple. According to media reports, Khalistani extremist Arshdeep Singh Gill alias Arsh Dalla, declared a terrorist by India, has been arrested, possibly in the Ontario province of Canada in connection with a firing incident. Let us tell you that this incident of firing took place in Milton on October 28. The Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) said in a statement on October 29 that it had arrested two people in connection with the shooting, following an investigation. Both men went to a hospital and one of them suffered a gunshot wound and was later released. HRPS did not reveal their identities and said both accused were “remained in custody pending a bail hearing.” Sources claimed that one of those arrested is believed to be Arsh. It’s a nugget. Dalla is associated with the banned Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF) and ran the terror module on behalf of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, who was killed in June last year.
Recently, the Ministry of External Affairs had included the name of Arsh Dalla among the Khalistani terrorists for whose extradition a request has been made to Canada. Halton police said they are actively investigating a “shooting incident” in Milton. “On the morning of October 28, 2024, Guelph Police were contacted by HRPS after two individuals presented themselves at a hospital there,” the statement said. One of them was treated and released from the hospital. The second man was not injured.” The HRPS Major Crimes Bureau is now investigating and both men have been arrested, Halton police said in a statement. A 25-year-old man from Halton Hills and a 28-year-old man from Surrey, BC, have both been charged with knowingly discharging a firearm.”
Earlier, on Sunday, Punjab Police said that two members of the Dalla gang from Kharar in Mohali have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the murder of a Sikh activist. Director General of Police (DGP) Gaurav Yadav said that the arrest was made under a joint operation of the State Special Operation Cell, Anti-Gangster Task Force and Faridkot Police. Both were identified as Anmolpreet Singh alias Vishal, resident of Bhadaur, Barnala and Navjot Singh alias Neetu, resident of Nijjar Road, Kharar. The state police said preliminary investigation revealed that Arsh Dalla had assigned the task to Navjot to target Gurpreet Singh Hari Nau, who runs a YouTube channel by the name of “Hari Nau Talks”. Arsh Dalla, accused of involvement in targeted killings, terrorism financing and extortion in Punjab, was declared a terrorist by the Indian government in January last year. He is an accused in various cases under the National Investigation Agency (NIA). India-Canada relations remain severely strained due to Canada’s alleged support to Khalistani separatists and its allegations of India’s involvement in Nijjar’s killing. India has rejected this allegation and accused Canada of doing nothing to stop the activities of Khalistani supporters who want to undermine India’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Apart from this, Canadian Police has arrested a 35-year-old local man for attacking a Hindu temple in Brampton, Canada during a violent demonstration. Let us remind you that on November 3, a protest took place at the Hindu Sabha Temple in Brampton, in an unconfirmed video of which went viral on social media, protesters were seen holding banners in support of Khalistan. In the video, scuffles and people can also be seen attacking each other with sticks around the temple. Peel Regional Police responded to a clash during a demonstration at the temple, a statement said. Police have started investigating several incidents that took place during the demonstration, in the videos of which it can be seen that people are being attacked with flags and sticks. Investigators from the 21 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Strategic Investigation Team (SIT) have arrested Inderjit Gosal, of Brampton, and charged him with assault with a weapon, a Peel police statement said. According to the news of ‘Toronto Star’, Gosal is the coordinator of ‘Sikh for Justice (SFJ)’ in Canada. SFJ is banned in India.
The statement said Gosal was arrested on November 8. He is accused of assault with a weapon. Gosal has been released conditionally and will appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton at a later date. The SIT has been formed to investigate the criminal incidents that took place during the incidents of November 3 and 4. On November 3, protesters carrying Khalistani flags clashed with people and disrupted a program jointly organized by the temple authorities and the Indian Consulate. Let us tell you that this incident was condemned by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and said that every citizen of Canada has the right to practice his religion freely and safely. However, the Indian Foreign Ministry had said in a statement that New Delhi is extremely concerned about the safety of Indian citizens in Canada.
Meanwhile, Canadian MP Chandra Arya accused some leaders in the country of trying to “deliberately pit Hindus and Sikhs against each other”. He stressed that Hindus and Sikhs of Canadian origin are on one side and Khalistanis on the other. Arya’s comments come a few days after the incident of attack on Hindus in a temple in Brampton. Arya said many Canadian leaders are trying to portray the Brampton incident as a conflict between Canadian-origin Hindus and Sikhs. He said that due to the deliberate actions of some leaders and the influence of Khalistanis, Canadians have now started considering Khalistanis and Sikhs as the same.
Arya, MP from Ontario’s Nepean region, said in a post on ‘X’, “Some leaders are deliberately avoiding mentioning and blaming Khalistanis for this attack. They are blaming other elements. “They are misleading Canadians by presenting it as an issue between Hindus and Sikhs.” Arya said, “With the attack on the temple by Khalistani extremists, the leaders are portraying Hindus and Sikhs in such a way that they are against each other. Whereas, this is not the true picture. In reality, Hindu-Canadians and Sikh-Canadians are on one side and Khalistani are on the other side.
