Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone and inaugurated various projects related to the health sector. Narendra Modi said that this time’s Diwali is historic. After 500 years, such an opportunity has come when thousands of lamps will be lit in the temple of Ramlala built on his birthplace in Ayodhya. There will be a wonderful celebration. This will be such a Diwali, when our Ram has once again come to his home, and this time this wait is not coming to an end after 14 years, but after 500 years. He said that it is a matter of happiness for all of us that today Ayurveda Day is being celebrated in more than 150 countries. This is proof of the growing global attraction towards Ayurveda. This is proof of how much new India can give to the world through its ancient experiences.
The Prime Minister said that the healthier the citizens of the country, the faster will be the pace of progress of that country. With this in mind, giving priority to the health of its citizens, the Central Government has decided on five pillars of the health policy:- 1 – Preventive healthcare i.e. prevention before the disease occurs., 2- Timely diagnosis of disease., 3- Free and cheap treatment, cheap medicines., 4- Good treatment in small towns, removing the shortage of doctors., 5- Health Expansion of technology in service.
Modi said that there was a time when people’s houses, lands and jewelery were sold for treatment. The poor man’s soul trembled when he heard the cost of treating a serious illness. The helplessness and destitution of not being able to get treatment due to lack of money would break the poor person. I could not see my poor brothers and sisters in this helplessness, that is why ‘Ayushman Bharat’ scheme was born. He said that the government has decided that the government will bear the cost of treatment of the poor up to Rs 5 lakh. About 4 crore poor people in the country have taken advantage of the Ayushman Bharat scheme.

The Prime Minister said that at the time of elections, I had guaranteed that in the third term, all the elderly above 70 years of age would be brought under the ‘Ayushman Yojana’. Today, on the day of Dhanvantari Jayanti, this guarantee is being fulfilled. Now every elderly person in the country above 70 years of age will get free treatment in the hospital. Such elderly people will be given Ayushman Vaya Vandana card. This scheme will prove to be a milestone. If the elders of the house have Ayushman Vaya Vandana Card, then the expenses of the family will be less and their worries will also be less.
