Protests began after the US immigration and customs enforcement (ICE) launched a massive campaign in Los Angeles, with dozens of unspecified immigrants arrested. According to a report by news agency Reuters, 44 people were arrested on Friday. Officials have not confirmed whether more arrests took place on Saturday or not. On Saturday, at least two major protests took place – one in Paramount and the other in downtown LA. The protesters took banners and raised slogans like “Ice Out of LA”
