In the 61st match of IPL 2025, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Lucknow Super Gynts by 6 wickets. With this, Lucknow has become the fifth team to be out of the race of Super Giants Playoffs. While Gujarat, RCB and Punjab have qualified for playoffs.
Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Lucknow Super Gynts by 6 wickets on Monday. In the 61st match of IPL 2025, Lucknow Super Giants batted first and scored 205 runs losing seven wickets in 20 overs. In response, Sunrisers Hyderabad won the match by 6 wickets thanks to Abhishek Sharma’s half -century innings. With this, Lucknow has become the fifth team to be out of the race of Super Giants Playoffs. While Gujarat, RCB and Punjab have qualified for playoffs.
Chasing the target of 206 runs, Sunrisers Hyderabad got their first blow in the second over. Atharva was dismissed for 13 runs. Opener Abhishek Sharma returned to the pavilion after scoring 59 runs off 20 balls. Ishaan Kishan was dismissed by 35 runs off 28 balls. Heinrich Klassen scored 47 off 28 balls. Aniket and Nitish scored 5-5 runs. For Lucknow, Rathi took two, William Shardul took 1-1 wickets.
Lucknow Super Giants started well while batting first. Mitchell Marsh was dismissed for 65 runs off 39 balls. Marsh and Markram shared a 115 -run partnership for the first wicket. Captain Rishabh Pant could only score seven runs in 6 balls. Aidan Markram returned to the pavilion after scoring 61 runs off 38 balls. Ayush scored three runs off 5 balls. Nicholas Puran scored 45 runs off 26 balls and gave speed in the last over. He had important partnerships with Markram and later Ayush Badoni and Abdul Samad.
