The DGP further said that this year’s Kumbh aims to be highly digital, with law enforcement taking advantage of advanced technologies like AI-enabled cameras and drones. Specific strategies exist to effectively identify and disable rogue drones. Additionally, in view of the increasing threat of cyber crime, the police are implementing stronger measures to protect pilgrims from cyber criminal activities, Kumar said. The DGP said that ahead of the Mahakumbh, the police force has hired a team of private experts from the Future Crime Research Foundation to protect the pilgrims from cyber frauds and crimes and has tied up with IIT Kanpur for cyber world patrolling. For the first time, we have established a cyber police station in the Mahakumbh area. We have involved national agencies like I4C and CERT-IN for cyber patrolling and analyzing cyber security networks. They will also work on data security.
