Mahayuti tightens its belt on Pachora assembly seat, declares Shinde faction’s Kishore Patil as its candidate

The campaign for the assembly elections to be held in Maharashtra has reached its final stage. Voting will take place in the state tomorrow i.e. on 20th November and counting of votes will take place on 23rd November. In such a situation, only a few days are left for the campaign. According to the schedule released by the Election Commission, voting will be held in the entire state on 20th. To win the 288 assembly seats in Maharashtra, a majority of 145 seats will be required. Pachori seat is the 18th assembly seat of Maharashtra. Currently Shiv Sena’s Kishore Appa Patil is the current MLA on this seat. So, this time Mahayuti has given the responsibility of contesting elections in this area to Shiv Sena’s Kishore Patil.
Shiv Sena has been dominating the Pachora assembly seat for a long time. Shiv Sena has registered a landslide victory from here twice after the 1999 elections. However, after this NCP’s Wagh Dilip Omkar snatched this seat from Shiv Sena in 2009. But, Shiv Sena SHS’s Kishore Appa Patil again wrested this assembly from ACP and won it twice in a row. This time both Shiv Sena and NCP are in the political arena with two options each. Both are powerful parties in the state and both have been torn apart.
Know the result of 2019
In the last election, Kishore Appa Patil had contested Pachora assembly seat for the second time on Shiv Sena ticket to save his ground. Dilip Omkar Wagh had contested on NCP ticket to regain the seat. This election also became triangular because of an independent candidate. In this, Anmol Panditrao Shinde had filed independent nomination. Talking about the figures, Shiv Sena’s Kishor Appa Patil got 75699 total votes, while independent Anmol Shinde got 73615 votes. Talking about NCP’s Dilip, he had to be satisfied with only 44961 votes. Independent candidate Anmol gave a tough fight to Shiv Sena’s Kishore but Kishore Patil won.
What is the caste equation of the area?
If we talk about caste equation in this assembly seat, Patil community is in majority here. Talking about their vote share, it is around 28 percent in the entire assembly. After this, there are people from Muslim community on this seat, their vote share on this seat is about 10 percent. After this, people of Mahajan and Bhil community are also present here in good numbers. Their percentage is between two and a half to three.
