Main accused in Delhi Police constable murder case killed in police encounter

A day after a Delhi Police constable was stabbed to death, the main accused in the case was killed in an encounter with the police in South Delhi’s Sangam Vihar area. Officials gave this information on Sunday.

Constable Kiran Pal was stabbed to death by three people during night patrolling in Govindpuri area of ​​south-east Delhi. Two accused, Deepak Max and Krish Gupta, were arrested the same day.

A senior police officer of the special cell said that the third accused Raghav was hiding in Sangam Vihar. After identifying the accused, he was asked to surrender but he ignored the request of the police and opened fire on the police personnel, after which the police personnel also retaliated in which the accused was injured.

“He was immediately taken to ESIC Hospital in Okhla where he died,” the officer said. The police officer said that no police officer was injured in the encounter and they have seized a pistol and two cartridges.

Constable Kiran Pal was working at Govindpuri police station and was on night patrol. They stopped three people riding a scooter early on Saturday. The officer said that the accused threw stones at the constable to avoid arrest, but the constable stopped his motorcycle in front of their vehicle and did not allow them to escape.

The police officer said that the constable also snatched the scooter keys of the accused and started interrogating the three, but during this the accused attacked him with a knife.
