West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee on Wednesday announced the formation of a new state-level synergy committee to facilitate business in the state. In the Bengal Global Trade Summit (BGBS), Banerjee highlighted the development of the ongoing infrastructure in the state, including the state’s economic progress and the construction of six economic corridors with national highways.
Emphasizing the state’s trade-friendly atmosphere, he said, “Our government in Bengal is stable where there is no loss of Human Labor Day.” The Chief Minister also stated that in the last financial year, the state of Bengal GDP (GSDP) has grown faster than the National GDP, which reflects the strong economic performance of the state.
Referring to the social welfare initiative, he said, “Bengal is a pioneer in women’s empowerment through various schemes like Lakshmi Bhandar. Banerjee reiterated his government’s commitment to inclusion and said, “We do not divide people.” Unity in diversity is our strength. Representatives from all over the world are attending the two -day global trade summit.
