A woman was attacked and killed by a suspected armed miscreant in Manipur’s Bishnupur district today. The incident took place in Seton, where the woman was working in a paddy field. According to sources, the attack took place in the afternoon when the woman was doing agricultural work. The identity of the attacker and the motive behind the attack are unknown.

shot dead by terrorists
A woman working in paddy fields was shot dead by suspected hill militants. The militants reportedly fired from the hilly areas of lower Imphal Valley, escalating violence already among the locals who accused central forces of being ineffective in stopping such attacks.
Tension increased in Jiribam district after the second incident
The murder comes two days after the murder of a 31-year-old woman in Jaron Hamar village of Jiribam. Six houses were burned, and the burnt body of a woman was found the next day.
