Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said on Wednesday that more than 325 Naxalites have been killed in the last one and a half months in the state and more than 2,000 have either been arrested or have surrendered. The Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh came here for a meeting of investors.
Sai claimed, “Such an image has been created that the entire Chhattisgarh is suffering from Naxalism, which is not true.” A small area of Chhattisgarh, which is Bastar, suffers from the problem of Naxalism and the rest of the state is free from this problem.
Sai told reporters, “Our one -year -old government and our security forces are bravely fighting against the Naxal problem and we believe that more than 325 Naxalites have been killed in just one and a half months and more than 2,000 Naxalites have either been arrested or have surrendered.”
He said, “We are confident that the Naxal problem will be eradicated soon.” The Chief Minister said that the state has prepared a favorable rehabilitation package for those who surrenders.
He said that apart from this, a scheme named your Sundar Village has also been launched in Naxal -affected areas, under which about 38 security camps have been opened there. Sai said that the benefit of this scheme is being given to more than 100 villages. He also said that Union Home Minister Amit Shah has resolved to end the Naxal problem by 31 March 2026.
