Police sources said that these flying items, which look like a drone, were first seen by the personnel of Hastings Police Station. A police officer said, “These items like drone were seen flying from Maheshtala in South 24 Parganas district late on Monday night. They kept hovering over the Hastings area, second Hooghly Bridge (Vidyasagar Setu) and Fort William (Eastern Command Headquarters of Army). Unknown drones were seen in Kolkata’s park circus area. The Task Force (STF) and the Detective Department of Kolkata Police have started investigating all possible angles including espionage that we are investigating the matter from all angles including the possibility of espionage.

Meanwhile, CM Mamata Banerjee has directed administrative and police officers in the northern part of the state to be vigilant about the dangers from cross -border in strategically sensitive areas.
