Praising the speech of Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the Lok Sabha on Saturday evening, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said that the Union Budget of 2025 is “positive and welcome. He emphasized that this will help accelerate the development of the state. . Several special schemes and welfare measures for Bihar have been mentioned in the budget of Sitharaman for the year 2025/26, where the assembly elections will be voted later this year.
Nitish thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and wrote on X that the Union Budget is positive and welcome. This budget of the Central Government is progressive and future -oriented. Through this budget, several steps have been taken by the Central Government to further increase the pace of development of the country. The announcements made for Bihar in the budget will give further impetus to the development of Bihar. The establishment of a Makhana Board in the state will benefit Makhana farmers to improve the production, processing, price promotion and marketing of Makhana.
The Chief Minister further wrote that to meet the future needs of the state, the facility of Greenfield Airports in Bihar will increase the number of international flights, which will greatly benefit the people here as well as the economic development of the state. The farmers here will benefit from getting financial assistance for the Western Kosi Canal Project in Mithilanchal. In this budget, a provision has been made for the expansion of Patna IIT, this will promote technical education. The establishment of National Food Technology, Entrepreneurship and Management Institute in Bihar will provide skills, entrepreneurship and employment opportunities and will promote food processing activities in eastern India.
Nitish also said that the middle class has got a lot of relief due to the rebate of up to Rs 12 lakh in the income tax slab. The farmers will get the benefit of increasing the loan limit from 3 lakh to 5 lakhs on Kisan Credit Card. Employment opportunities will increase due to increase in MSME Credit Guarantee Cover from Rs 5 crore to Rs 10 crore for micro enterprises. Many steps have been taken in the interest of poor, youth and farmers in the budget, it is welcome. I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman ji for presenting a better budget.
