Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has reached Lachin in Azerbaijan for a tripartite meeting with Türkiye and Azerbaijan. The meeting was held after the support given by these countries to Pakistan during Operation Sindoor in India. Turkey allegedly provided military assistance including drones and operators during the operation. The tripartite meeting is expected to focus on increasing military and defense cooperation. Earlier, Shahbaz Sharif met Turk’s President Rajab Tayyab Erdoan. During this meeting, the two leaders reviewed the entire dimension of bilateral relations and reiterated the resolve to increase the strategic partnership. This information was given by the media on Monday. In his meeting with Erdoan, Sharif advocated to increase joint enterprises and bilateral investment and underlined major areas such as renewable energy, information technology, defense production, infrastructure development and agriculture as possible areas of mutual interest.

Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed his desire to hold peace talks with India to resolve all issues including Kashmir, terrorism, water and trade. Sharif made this comment in Tehran, the capital of Iran. The Prime Minister reached the capital of Iran from the Turki, where President Masood Page Seshakian welcomed him to the Sadabad Palace. Sharif was given the ‘Guard of Honor’ and interacted with President Pageshkian. Addressing a joint press conference with Pageshkian, Sharif said that he was ready to interact with India for peace. He said that we want to resolve all disputes including Kashmir issue and water issues through negotiations and are also ready to interact with our neighbors on business and anti-terrorism issues.

He also warned that if India chose the path of war, it will be answered. Shahbaz Sharif said, but if they choose to remain aggressive then we will protect our area. As we have done a few days ago. But if they accept my proposal of peace, then we will show that we really want peace and honestly. India has clearly stated that it will talk with Pakistan only on the withdrawal of Pakistan -occupied Kashmir and the issue of terrorism.
