Pakistani Army becoming aggressive along the Line of Control and International Border, heavy firing in four districts of Jammu and Kashmir

Pakistan’s near international borderFiring

Officials gave this information on Wednesday. Small weapons were reported in Pargwal sector near the international border in Jammu district and Sunderbani and Nowshera sectors in Rajouri district. Pakistan violated the ceasefire over the LoC on the sixth consecutive night in the midst of the tension between India and Pakistan after the terrorist attack on April 22 in Pahalgam. A defense spokesperson in Jammu said, “On the night of 29 and 30 April, Pakistani military posts started firing with small weapons without provocation beyond the Line of Control located in front of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.”

Indian Army soldiers responded well 

The spokesman said that the Indian Army soldiers responded to this. Similar incidents of firing were reported from Pakistani posts near the Line of Control in Baramulla and Kupwara districts in Kashmir Valley and near the international border in Pargwal sector. Firing started in Kupwara and Baramulla districts first and then firing in Poonch and Akhnoor sector. This was followed by firing incidents in Sunderbani and Nowshera sectors in Rajouri district, after which there was a firing on the international border in Pargwal sector of Jammu.

Incident of 26 people killed in terrorist attack in Pahalgam 

Pakistani soldiers have been firing without provoking at various places along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir since India had suspended the Indus Water Treaty since the night of 24 April after the incident of 26 people killed in a terrorist attack in Pahalgam.

India and Pakistan agreed to a fresh ceasefire in February 2021, when the Director General of Military Operations (DGMO) of the two countries confirmed their commitment to the 2003 ceasefire agreement. India shares a 3,323 km long border with Pakistan, including a 740 km long Line (LoC) from Gujarat to Akhnoor, about 2,400 km long international border (IB), Jammu to Leh, Line of Control (LoC) and 110 km long real ground position line (AGPL) in Siachen region.
