In the case of atrocities on minorities, the terrorist country Pakistan has once again been exposed to the world. A disturbing video has surfaced from Pakistan’s Karachi. The footage features Salman Farooqui, a prominent Pakistani media entrepreneur and owner of Bonic Films, physically assaulting a Hindu youth in the city’s Upskale Defense Housing Society area.
What was the reason for the assault?
The victim has been identified as Sudhir Dhan Raj, who was allegedly traveling on a motorcycle with his sister Kalpana, when the incident occurred. According to the report, Sudhir’s motorcycle hit Salman Farooqui’s car in Ittehad area of Karachi. The minor collision increased dramatically, resulting in Farooqui and his personal security guard allegedly pulled Sudhir to one side and beat him.
Shocking misconduct shown in viral video
The video, which has been going viral on social media since then, has clearly shown that Salman is holding the hand of Farooqui Sudhir and his guards are repeatedly slapping and abusing him. Sudhir’s sister Kalpana can be seen with folded hands, begging for mercy from Farooqui and requesting her brother to be released. His desperate appeals were reportedly ignored.
Police action and legal proceedings
After public outrage, Karachi police arrested Salman Farooqui on Monday (June 2). An FIR has been lodged at the Gizari police station based on the complaint lodged by Mohammad Salim, an eyewitness. There are several allegations including threatening to kill Farooqui, physical attacks, verbally abusing and harassing a woman.
