In ‘Mann Ki Baat’ on Sunday, PM Modi described ‘Maha Kumbh’ as an extraordinary confluence of unity and equality. He said that there is no discrimination and casteism anywhere in this tradition that has been going on for thousands of years. The PM mentioned the increasing participation of youth in the Mahakumbh and said that when the young generation gets proudly associated with its civilization, its civilizational roots become stronger and then its golden future is also ensured.

Referring to ‘Kumbh’, ‘Pushkaram’ and ‘Ganga Sagar Fair’, PM Modi said that these festivals enhance social interaction, harmony and unity. He said, ‘These festivals connect the people of India with the traditions of India.’
The Prime Minister said, ‘People come to Kumbh from South, West and every corner. In Kumbh, the poor and the rich come together and everyone takes a dip in the Sangam. Accept Prasad together in Bhandara. That is why Kumbh is the Mahakumbh of unity. The organization of Kumbh also tells us how our traditions bind the whole of India together. He said that this time the participation of youth in Kumbh has been seen very widely. He said, ‘When the young generation proudly connects with its civilization, its roots become stronger and then its golden future is also ensured.’
