Prime Minister Narendra Modi will watch Vikrant Massey starrer ‘The Sabarmati Report’ at Balayogi Auditorium in the national capital at 4 pm. The film is based on the burning of S-6 coach of Sabarmati Express near Godhra station in Gujarat on 27 February 2002. Last month, Modi had supported the move produced by filmmaker Ekta Kapoor. The film, scheduled to hit the screens on November 15, 2024, is based on the Sabarmati Express fire that killed 59 people and the 2002 Godhra riots. Modi was the Chief Minister of Gujarat at the time of the incident.
Modi had said in a post on X on November 17 that it is well said. It is good that this truth is coming out and that too in a way that common people can see it. A false narrative can only be sustained for a limited period of time. After all, the facts will always come out! Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla is also expected to accompany Modi while watching the film. PM Modi will watch this film a day after Massey announced his retirement from acting. The ’12th Fail’ actor’s unexpected announcement left his fans in shock. ‘The Sabarmati Report’ was one of Massey’s last films.
Messi wrote on Instagram that hello, the last few years and the years since have been unprecedented. I thank you all for your unfailing support. But as I move forward, I realize it’s time to recalibrate and head back home. As a husband, father and a son. And also as an actor. So, in the coming 2025 we will meet each other for the last time. Until the time feels right. Memories of the last 2 films and many years. Thanks again. For everything and everything in between. Always indebted.
