Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go on a two -day visit to Bihar from Thursday, 29 May. During this time he will lead a grand road show in Patna and will address a record rally in Rohtas district. The BJP claims that the rally will be held in Rohtas district. State BJP President Dilip Jaiswal said on Tuesday that the Prime Minister will reach Patna Airport on May 30 at around 5 pm. Following these programs, Modi will go to the state BJP office through a huge roadshow, which will pass through major sites of the city like Police Headquarters, Patna High Court and Income Tax Office. The Prime Minister will be greeted at 32 different places on the route. However, Jaiswal clarified that the reception programs are not being organized under any political banner. Jaiswal said, “People associated with various social organizations and NGOs will take to the streets to welcome the world’s most popular leader.” He said that the Biharis want to thank the Prime Minister for the strict message after the Pahalgam terror attack.

After a night rest in Patna, the Prime Minister will go to Bikramganj in Rohtas district on Friday, where he will launch several development projects and address a huge rally. According to Jaiswal, an umbrella has been installed for more than one lakh chairs at the venue, which “makes it one of the biggest arrangements for any political program in the region”. Jaiswal indicated that more announcements are expected during Modi’s next scheduled visit to Bihar on 20 June. Assembly elections are to be held in the state in the coming months, in which BJP Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s JD (U), Union Minister Jitan Ram Manjhi’s Hindustani Awam Morcha, Chirag Paswan’s LJP (Ram Vilas) and Upendra Kushwaha are expected to contest elections in alliance with the National Lok Morcha.
