Politics has started over the violence that broke out during the survey of Shahi Jama Masjid in Sambhal. Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav termed the violence as ‘planned’ by the BJP. Akhilesh said that the violence that took place during the mosque survey was planned by the BJP to divert attention from the irregularities in the Uttar Pradesh by-elections. Let us tell you, the results of Uttar Pradesh by-elections were declared on Saturday, in which Samajwadi Party got only two seats, while BJP and its ally Rashtriya Lok Dal won a total of seven seats. The politics of the state has become heated after the victory of BJP.
While giving a statement on Sambhal violence on Sunday, Akhilesh Yadav made serious allegations against the police and administration. He claimed that a serious incident took place in Sambhal. A survey team was deliberately sent in the morning to prevent discussion about the elections. Its objective was to create chaos so that there could be no discussion on election issues.

Citing media reports, Akhilesh said that many people have been injured in the violence in Sambhal and questioned that when the survey of the mosque had already been done, then why a fresh survey was done again and that too early in the morning and Without any preparation? He further said that I do not want to go into legal or procedural aspects, but the other side was not even heard. This was done deliberately to inflame emotions and avoid discussion on election rigging. Yadav alleged, ‘Whatever happened in Sambhal was orchestrated by the BJP, the government and the administration to divert attention from election irregularities.’
The former UP chief minister also accused the BJP of ‘electronic booth capturing’ during the by-elections. He said that whenever there is an impartial investigation and the truth comes out through booth recording and CCTV footage, it will become clear that the voters did not cast their votes and someone else became a voter inside the booth.

Yadav claimed that on the day of polling, the police and administration removed almost all the booth agents and many supporters of the Samajwadi Party who wanted to vote. He said, ‘If voters were stopped from voting, then who voted? If Samajwadi Party votes did not reach those booths and our candidate did not get support, then who voted there? This is a serious issue. He alleged, ‘Besides, there were two types of slips, one with red marks and the other was a normal slip. We had raised this issue on the day of voting itself, in which it was said that the administration has made such arrangements which are causing discrimination.
