There are only three weeks left for voting in the presidential elections in America. Surveys show that there will be a tough contest for the presidency between Kamala Harris and Donald Trump. It will become clear with time who will win between the Democrats and the Republicans. But this time issues ranging from abortion to immigration dominated the American elections.
Abortion and immigration
Among white conservatives in the Republican Party, 80-84% are those who consider infanticide a sin. Apart from this, among the white traditionalists who have become moderate and have joined the Democratic Party, there is also a section which is against foeticide. To woo such voters and get more and more rural votes in her favor, Kamala Harris has taken a gamble by nominating Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for the post of Vice President. Republicans are claiming that Tim Walz spent a decade in China, teaching American history to their schoolchildren.

What is Harris’s stand?
Harris has been in favor of the big issue like abortion. Trump is very serious on the immigration issue and believes in taking strict action against people of Latin American origin who enter the US border through Mexico. In America, the inclination of citizens of this origin towards the Democrats has increased (51-58%).
Trump’s sharp and bitter words
The voices of bitterness towards Donald Trump candidate Kamala Harris have created disappointment among the white class. Trump’s bigotry is his biggest enemy. But he is not wrong when it is said that he is the only President in the last two decades during whose tenure there was no sound of war. Even though Trump and Xi Jinping had a figure of 36, the cold war continued between Russia and America, they left no stone unturned in maintaining communication with Putin and North Korea’s autocratic dictator Kim Jon Un.
israel hamas war
Both the major parties of America seem to be adopting almost the same stance regarding the ongoing conflict in Gaza after the Hamas attack on October 7. No matter which party is in power in America, there has never been a decline in support for Israel. However, Donald Trump believes that if he had been the President of America, Israel would not have been attacked. He has repeatedly stressed the need to end the war but has never openly supported Palestine. Kamala Harris has been raising the issue of death of innocent Palestinians in Gaza. She had also spoken to Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in a stern tone to end the war, but she has also expressed her commitment to the defense of Israel every time.

No majority, yet Japan’s PM refuses to resign
In Japan, the ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP)-led coalition has not been able to get majority in the lower house of parliament. In the results revealed on Sunday, it has got 191 seats out of 465 seats and along with its ally party Komeito, it has got 215 seats. It has lost 65 seats. This is the worst result of the party in the last 15 years. After the election results, Japanese PM Shigeru Ishiba said that the public has given a harsh verdict. We are politely accepting it, but as of now they are not trying to add any more parties. I will continue in my post. To run the government, the alliance will have to get 233 seats. Japan’s Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba won the election for the post of party president last month, after which he became the Prime Minister of the country. After this Ishiba had announced to hold elections.
Lebanon’s health ministry said five people were killed and 33 injured in two attacks in Sidon. Another building was targeted in the third attack, the national news agency reported. The Israeli military gave no warning before these attacks, and the specific target is unclear.
Haaretz columnist Gideon Levy says a complete Israeli troop withdrawal from Gaza is unlikely. No one in the government has any intention of withdrawing from Gaza. Without withdrawal, there would have been no ceasefire, no agreement and no release of hostages.
Speaking from Tel Aviv, Levy said Israeli soldiers are being killed in Gaza, and yet, almost no one is speaking out about withdrawal. But with Hezbollah, things are clearer because if the group agrees to withdraw beyond the Litani River, “they understand – at least in the army – that continuing to fight will achieve nothing because Hezbollah is still very strong. .
