The Supreme Court refused to consider the bail plea of suspended JD(S) MP Prajwal Revanna in cases related to sexual harassment of several women that came to light after the leak of explicit videos during the Lok Sabha elections. A bench of Justices Bela M Trivedi and Satish Chandra Sharma rejected the plea saying the allegations against him were serious. Senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi, along with advocate Balaji Srinivasan, argued that the allegations were, however, serious. The complaint does not initially talk about the charge of rape under section 376 of the IPC.
