In a statement, the embassy instructed employees to remain in a safe place and also suggested that American citizens present in Kiev be prepared to immediately reach a safe place in the event of an attack alert. A day before this, Russia had said that US-made long-range missiles were used in the Ukrainian attack on an arms warehouse in the Bryansk region. US President Joe Biden has given Ukraine the green light to use US-made long-range missiles.
