Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi and Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge on Sunday wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi demanding a special session of Parliament to discuss the latest development in the case of Pahalgam terror attack and firing from the border.
Rahul wrote in his letter, ‘I reiterate the unanimous request of the opposition to call the special session of Parliament immediately. It is important for the people and their representatives to discuss the Pahalgam terrorist attacks, ‘Operation Sindoor’ and the announcement of US President Donald Trump’s announcement for the struggle of the two countries. It will also be an opportunity to display our collective resolution to face the upcoming challenges. He said, “I am confident that you will consider this demand seriously and quickly.”

Kharge in his letter mentioned the letters written by him and Rahul Gandhi on 28 April, requesting the Prime Minister to call a special session of Parliament in view of the terrorist attack in Pahalgam. The Congress President wrote, ‘In view of the latest incidents, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha has again written a letter to you about the unanimous request of all opposition parties to call a special session of Parliament, so that Pahalgam attacks,’ Operation Sindoor ‘and Sangharsh-Viram were first discussed and the issues of the governments of India and Pakistan can be discussed first.

Kharge said, ‘As the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, I am writing a letter in support of this request. I believe you (with our demand) will agree. ‘
