Mode Of Selection

The selection process of railway basically consists of various stages like

• 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT),
• 2nd Stage CBT, Typing Skill Test/ Computer Aptitude Test (CBAT) (conducted as per the posts), and
• Document Verification / Medical Examination.

Pay Scale

• The starting basic pay for Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) in Railway Recruitment Board is Rs 19,900 per month with a grade pay of Rs 1,900.
• The in-hand salary, which includes basic pay and allowances, can range from Rs 24,000 to Rs 35,000 per month. ALPs are also eligible for other benefits, such as dearness allowances, house rent allowances, medical allowances, and travel allowances.
