Amit Thackeray is contesting for the first time as an MNS candidate from Mahim seat in Mumbai in the Maharashtra assembly elections to be held on 20th November. On Wednesday, Raj Thackeray had said that MNS and BJP will come together after the elections and the next Chief Minister will be from BJP.

Raut told reporters, “The mentality of a person whose son is contesting elections can be understood. The person who once said that BJP should be driven out of Maharashtra and Amit Shah and Narendra Modi should not be allowed to enter the state, is praising BJP today. He said, “Raj Thackeray knows that in Maharashtra The (next) Chief Minister will be from Maha Vikas Aghadi.” Raj Thackeray had campaigned against the BJP in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections. Later he changed his stance.
