According to the report, the team’s best batsman Rinku Singh will be the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders in IPL 2025. If media reports are to be believed, Rinku Singh will lead the team in place of Shreyas Iyer in IPL 2025. However, the franchise has not made any official announcement on this.
For IPL 2025, KKR has retained Andre Russell, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, Rinku Singh, Ramandeep Singh and Harshit Rana. KKR has retained 4 capped players and 2 uncapped players. Rinku Singh, who was worth Rs 55 lakh, has been retained by KKR for Rs 13 crore for the upcoming season. Out of Rs 120 crore, KKR has spent around Rs 57 crore on retaining 6 players. Now KKR will have Rs 63 crore in the IPL 2025 mega auction. Earlier it was being said that KKR wants to make Suryakumar Yadav the captain, but Surya will now stay in Mumbai. In such a situation, KKR was looking for a new captain, now the news is that KKR has approved the name of Rinku Singh as the captain. However, it has not been officially announced.
