So far, the Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested four accused, while three are still absconding, whom the police are actively searching for. Days after Baba Siddiqui was shot dead in Mumbai, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday reiterated that those responsible for such crimes will be held accountable and punished.
Maharashtra Chief Minister said, “No one will be spared. Strict action will be taken against whoever is found guilty.” NCP leader and former Maharashtra minister Siddiqui was shot outside his office in Nirmal Nagar. He was hit by two bullets in the chest and was taken to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai for emergency treatment, where he died on 12 October.
