Chaudhary said that the proposed 732 meter long Pipa bridge on river Ganga between Mahuli Ghat to Sitab Diara under Bhojpur district will connect dozens of villages of Bihar (Bhojpur district) and Sitab Diara (Ballia district) of Uttar Pradesh.

Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary said that the government sanctioned more than Rs 56 crore 81 lakh to build three big pipe bridges on Ganga and Kosi rivers in Bhojpur, Buxar, Madhepura, Khagaria, Samastipur and Vaishali districts of the state, which will bridge both the rivers. And about 10 lakh people of hundreds of villages will get the facility of transportation and their dependence on boats will end.

Chaudhary said that the proposed 732 meter long Pipa bridge on river Ganga between Mahuli Ghat to Sitab Diara under Bhojpur district will connect dozens of villages of Bihar (Bhojpur district) and Sitab Diara (Ballia district) of Uttar Pradesh. For this, a total amount of Rs 1520.06 lakh (fifteen crore twenty lakh six thousand) has been approved. Choudhary said that a 500 meter long Pipa bridge will be constructed at a cost of Rs 25.13 crore on Kosi river between Madhepura and Khagaria from Zero Mile in Madhepura to Kapasiya Ghat.

He said that the construction of Pipa bridge will facilitate the movement of 80 thousand people of about 14 panchayats of Madhepura and Khagaria districts. Chaudhary said that a 732 meter long Pipa bridge will be built on the Ganga river between Nainijor village of Buxar district and Haldi village (Ballia) of Uttar Pradesh at a cost of Rs 16.47 crore. This will improve traffic between dozens of villages in Buxar and Ballia districts.
