Today, the scale, intensity, scope, appeal, and resonance of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh in India is so much that even the major power centers of the world want to hear, understand and churn the ideas of the Sangh. What is the union saying? What is his plan? What is its purpose and destination? There are only two-three such opportunities in a year through which an attempt can be made to understand this. From this point of view, the Dussehra address of the highest official of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, Sarsanghchalak ji, is an important occasion.
This year, in the Vijayadashami festival, Sangh’s Sarsanghchalak Dr. Mohan Rao ji Bhagwat along with former Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) Dr. Kopilil Radhakrishnan were the chief guests.
With a view to awakening, awakening, upliftment and discussion of mother power in the nation, the Sangh almost every year awakens the society about some important female personality. Last year, with this in mind, the Sangh had focused its year-long women’s discussion programs on our tribal hero Veerangana Durgavati. This year is the 300th birth anniversary year of Maharani Ahilyabai, a spiritual but excellent ruler of the country, mother of the people, virtuous person. With a view to focus his programs across the country on Ahilya Bai, Sarsanghchalak ji said – “Devi Ahilyabai was an efficient state administrator, a dutiful ruler who was adept at the people, proud of religion, culture and the country, a great example of morality and an excellent master of strategy. She was a wise ruler”.
This year is also the 200th birth anniversary of Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj, who freed India from evil practices and evils. Swami Dayanand had started a big spiritual movement towards liberating the country by properly studying the social ills that had come in the Indian society due to foreign invasions. In the context of problems like ideological attack of foreign invaders, destruction of our education system by them, destruction of educational institutions, corrupting the society through religious conversion, creating caste based discrimination in the society by conspiracy, the eradication of evils has come to the Hindu society. It was a big and important task; This work was done by Swami Dayanand Saraswati.
Whatever the organization may be, it does not want to shorten its line by adding events from any other organization in its events. The union is just the opposite. The Sangh wants to merge itself in all the points of pride of the Hindu society and behaves accordingly. Throughout the year, the Sangh will celebrate the centenary of the ‘Satsang’ organization of Bengal in its programs, daily remembrances, events, meetings, workshops across the country. ‘Satsang’ was founded by the famous Bengali great man Anukul Chandra Thakur.
Bengal has made an important contribution in raising the standards of character of India, developing literary vision, keeping the cultural identity alive and liberating the society from the evils that have come in the society due to foreign invaders. By remembering the ideological, cultural, literary, political, religious and spiritual great men of Bengal, once known as ‘Bhadra Bengal’ across the country, we automatically get the direction for the ideological awakening and revival of the entire country. Sarsanghchalak ji remembered and expressed his gratitude to Bengali hero His Holiness Shri Anukul Chandra Thakur.
There has never been any difference between the forest society and the civil society of India. Both the societies have played their role in the all-round development of the country by complementing each other, fulfilling mutual needs, maintaining mutual respect and harmony. Today, all around the country, in the name of ‘Dalit discourse’ or in the name of tribal interests, foreign powers are creating an environment of social division. The biggest name before us to answer these foreign ideas is that of the tribal leader, Lord Birsa Munda. From this highest platform of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, a request has been made to the society to celebrate the 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa Munda with full enthusiasm throughout the year and to accept his ideas in a more complete manner in their ideological paradigms. His idea was greater than that of Lord Birsa Munda, which he gave to our country in the form of Ulgulan. According to today’s modern circumstances, we will celebrate this 150th birth anniversary of Lord Birsa by establishing ‘Ulgulan’ in the national policies, such a resolution was also announced from this platform of the Sangh.

From the forum, concern was also expressed regarding illegal infiltration into India and the resulting population imbalance, illegal infiltrators and the country was made aware of the need for a strong ‘citizenship rule’.
In the current rapidly changing discourses or narratives, the need of today’s generation to protect its indigenous discourse from the ‘deep state’, ‘vocalism’ and ‘cultural Marxists’ was also discussed. This fact also emerged from the statement that – “Our ideological power will have to be awakened to end these new narratives which create caste disintegration in the society, destroy eternal social values, destroy faith and trust”.
The ‘ideological acids’ being served to the children, adolescents and younger generation of the country were also discussed. Mohanrao said that our nation has been a cultural nation with strong practice of ‘matrivat paradareshu’ This Sanskrit Sukta “Matrivat paradareshu paradravyeshu loshtavat, atmavat sarvabhuteshu yah pashayati sah panditah”.means- A person who except his wife in society treats the rest of the women society like his mother, others’ wealth like clay, and all creatures is as valuable as himself, he is a true Pandit or wise man. Very detailed concern was expressed towards the new generation. They also expressed their concerns about the prejudices, misconduct etc. being received from mobile phones which are grabbing the palms of children and youth.
While discussing the emerging fundamentalism in the country, Baba Saheb Ambedkar’s words were said in his own words – “This is the Grammar of Anarchy”. This bigotry throws stones at the processions of various Hindu festivals in the country and shatters social harmony.
Emphasizing on the dire need for social harmony, the Sangh chief said, “By participating in each other’s social festivals, considering great men of all societies as national heroes, participating in mutual events and festivals, accepting mutual beliefs and faith as our own.” Only through this will social harmony be established. Social harmony should be established in one’s personal conduct rather than merely trying to achieve it through symbolic programmes. Indications of developing the national character of respecting mutual literature, institutions, thinking, legends, reverence and faith are found at many places in this conversation.
Urges for environment, plantation, purity and protection of aquatic structures, limited use of water, prohibition of single use plastic etc. were also made. Civil discipline, strict adherence to civic duties and conduct steeped in the spirit of patriotism were also urged.
The topic of use of indigenous products, respect for indigenous industries, enterprises, entrepreneurs and labor also came up in detail. Keeping in mind that the language, dress, hymns, building, travel and food should be one’s own, according to one’s tradition – this in summary is the indigenous behavior that develops self-reliance.
