In his address, the External Affairs Minister said, “There is a trend towards a more diverse, multipolar world. But, there is also a period when countries actually move forward. I mean, it is similar to what happened in the corporate world as well.” Along with this, Jaishankar emphasized that industrial economies in the West cannot be ignored and they remain major investment targets. “The old, Western economies, the old industrial economies are not gone. They still matter and they are prime investment targets. They are big markets, strong technology centres, centers of innovation,” he said.
