Former AAP councilor Tahir Hussain filed his nomination papers as All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidate from Mustafabad seat.
500 candidates filed their nomination papers for the Delhi Assembly elections on Thursday, taking the total number of candidates filing nominations for 70 assembly seats to 841.
The Chief Electoral (CEO) Officer of Delhi gave this information. Those filing nominations include senior Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders and former ministers. Manish Sisodia filed his nomination from Jangpura constituency, Gopal Rai from Babarpur and Saurabh Bhardwaj from Greater Kailash region.
Congress leader Sandeep Dikshit filed his nomination from New Delhi constituency, where he will challenge AAP national convener Arvind Kejriwal. Former AAP councilor Tahir Hussain filed his nomination papers as All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) candidate from Mustafabad seat.
