Spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar said that due to devotion to the people, crores of people came to Mahakumbh, which ended on Wednesday. He said that it reflects the rich diversity and spiritual wealth of India. In a special interview with Rajdeep Sardesai of India Today, Ravi Shankar also spoke on the dispute of the high female coliform found in water in Prayagraj. He said that scientists have found that Ganga is one of the strongest water bodies in the world.

Ravi Shankar, the founder of the Arts of Living Foundation, said, “I only see three things that inspire crores of devotees – faith, faith and faith. It is a devotion to people that inspires them. The festival is deeply absorbed in the psyche of India.” Mahakumbh, which is considered to be the world’s largest religious gathering after 12 years, concluded on Wednesday, in which more than 67 crore devotees have taken holy baths since January 13.
A spiritual guru with millions of followers around the world said that taking a holy bath is a way of “leading the soul to high consciousness”.He said, “A dip can bring you back to your true form. Taking a holy bath is a way to move the soul towards high consciousness, forgive the past and forget the past and come in the present.”

Commenting on the controversy on a report by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), in which the ‘fecal coliform in the Ganges’ was found to be dangerous levels of ‘bacteria’, Ravi Shankar said that the river is known for its “self-purification capabilities”.
He said, “Scientists have used on the Ganges water that it is the strongest water that purifies itself and does not allow bacteria to flourish. It may have some issues, but according to scientists, the quality of water is very amazing and it certifies the beliefs of our millenniums.”
The spiritual leader said that earlier people and political leaders used to come to Kumbh and take “hidden”. He said, “He was very ashamed. We were not respecting our roots. Now that is over. We are proudly announced who we are. We are honest towards ourselves, that dishonesty, that deceit, that hypocrisy is over.”
