MK Stalin said on X that there is a strong attack on delimitation federalism, which punishes the states that ensure population control by snatching our legitimate voice in Parliament. We will not allow this democratic injustice! In the letter, he also proposed an inaugural meeting in Chennai on 22 March to discuss the delimitation in the front direction to discuss the delimitation. He wrote, “This moment demands leadership and cooperation, should rise above political differences and stand for our collective interest.”
Before the elections in Tamil Nadu next year, Stalin and his government are strongly opposed to ‘imposing Hindi’ and delimitation of the Center, arguing that none of these are necessary and overall it is an attack on the federal nature and Tamil people and language of the Constitution. The Center has dismissed both the allegations, and responding to the claims of ‘imposing’, saying that the new National Education Policy and Tri -Language Formula does not compel any student to read Hindi, and postpone the criticism of delimitation, saying that the southern states will not suffer any harm.

Stalin’s proposed meeting is expected to address later concern, which the Tamil Nadu leader warned that this could reduce the impact of states that have managed to control the level of population. In his letter, he reported that the delimitation practice after 1976 was stopped by the 2002 amendment, when Atal Bihari Vajpayee of the BJP was Prime Minister – stating that the total number of Lok Sabha seats changes – now 543 – will be postponed by at least 2026.
