There was a big controversy in North Zonal Inter University and All India Inter University Kabaddi Championship 2024-25 held on Friday in Bathinda, Punjab. The dispute between Tamil Nadu and Bihar’s women kabaddi players began when the Tamil Nadu team accused Bihar’s Darbhanga University team of dishonest attack Kanare.

The Kinges of Mother Teresa University in Tamil Nadu alleged that the referee was in favor of their opposing team from the beginning of the match, after which the situation became tense. The wrong attacks by the Darbhanga University team and the negligence of the referee further increased the dispute. When the Tamil Nadu team opposed this, the referee allegedly assaulted a player, causing a scuffle between the two teams.

Supporters of Darbhanga University also jumped into dispute and increased the fight. Many videos of this incident went viral on social media. In which the supporters of both teams were seen throwing chairs and tables at each other. Some men also appeared in the video, about which it was not clear whether they were officers or viewers.

Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and Sports Minister Udayanidhi Stalin described the incident as unfortunate and said that the players have received minor scratches. He also said that there was a dispute over points during the match. Stalin said that, this was a small incident, now everything is under control. The players have been given the first aid and they will live in Delhi. Soon he will leave for Chandigarh.
