It is suspected that Monday’s fierce accident occurred due to a chemical reaction, which also caused the fire. According to the company’s website, Sigachi Industries Limited is a pharmaceutical manufacturing company. Expressing grief over the incident, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced an ex-gratia amount of Rs 2 lakh each from the Prime Minister’s National Relief Fund and Rs 50,000 thousand for the injured. The company said that she expresses deep condolences at the loss of life and property and expresses heartfelt condolences to the families of the deceased.
