Union Home and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah said on Saturday that the efforts of the Center have gained momentum to the country’s cooperative sector and underlined its importance in making India a developed nation by 2047.

Addressing the closing ceremony of Janta Cooperative Bank Limited’s Diamond Jubilee Celebration in Pune, Shah said that the government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi has made the cooperative sector of India marketable.

In addition, the Union Home Minister chaired the 27th meeting of the Western Regional Council in Pune. He urged the cooperative banking sector to adopt technology. Shah said, “In the last three years, the Center has acted to speed up the cooperative movement in the country. We have made India’s cooperative sector model worth marketable. We are strengthening cooperative education by bringing the cooperative university Bill. ”

The Union Minister said that Prime Minister Modi has placed two resolutions to the country – to make India a fully developed nation by 2047 and by 2027 to make the country a $ 5 thousand billion US dollars. He said that these resolutions will remain incomplete without the development of the cooperative sector.

Shah also emphasized that if there is no development of every person and prosperity in every house, then both these resolutions will not be realized. Shah said that it is possible to provide every person to provide work according to his ability and to make every family prosperous by connecting with the development of the country.

The Union Minister said that Janata Cooperative Bank is a prime example of this thinking as it has adopted the concept of “big banks for small people”. He said that for the first time ‘Clearing House’ has been envisaged for cooperative banks in the country, which will be completed in the next two years.
