Maharashtra Deputy CM Eknath Shinde was trapped at Jalgaon’s airport for more than an hour due to Pilot celebrating the aircraft. According to sources, he reached the airport at 9:15 pm, but the pilot refused to fly citing the delay and said it was out of his duty time. The aircraft eventually flew after 45 minutes of discussion in a closed room with ministers Girish Mahajan, Gulabrao Patil and district administration officials to convince the pilot. Earlier, Shinde’s aircraft was to land at 3:45 pm, but due to technical reasons, the aircraft landed at 6:15 pm.

After a delay of two and a half hours, Shinde Sant reached the road from Jalgaon to Muktainagar to join the Muktai Palki Yatra. He returned to Jalgaon Airport at 9:15 pm after taking part in the palanquin journey and offering prayers at the Sant Muktai temple. However, Shinde’s arrival at Jalgaon Airport in an unfortunate turn of incidents proved to be a boon for a woman, who was to reach Mumbai immediately for kidney emergency treatment. A woman named Sheetal Patil missed her fixed flight and was trapped at Jalgaon Airport. After knowing about her condition, Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan, who was present with Shinde, arranged for her and her husband to go to Mumbai with Shinde’s flight.

Recalling this incident, Mahajan said that Eknath Shinde has not forgotten the days of his struggle. He has shown a lot of sensitivity towards the common man.
