BJP MP Kangana Ranaut said on Sunday that people have taught a befitting lesson to those who talk about breaking the country. She was referring to the Maharashtra Assembly elections where her party-led Mahayuti alliance defeated the Congress-led Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA). Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the actress-politician said she believes he was born to save the country and is invincible.
Ranaut and then Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray’s MVA government had soured in 2020 when the then undivided Shiv Sena-led Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) demolished alleged illegal construction at her Bandra bungalow. The Bharatiya Janata Party-led Mahayuti on Saturday retained power in Maharashtra by winning 230 out of 288 assembly seats, while the Congress-led MVA’s dream of regaining power ended with the opposition alliance managing only 46 seats.

Speaking to reporters at Bhuntar airport in Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district before leaving for New Delhi, Ranaut said that the people of Maharashtra have voted for development and a stable government. He congratulated Modi for the election success of Mahayuti and said that the BJP high command will decide the next Chief Minister of Maharashtra.
The MP from Mandi said, “During the election campaign, I saw that every child was raising slogans of ‘Modi-Modi’. Prime Minister Modi is the biggest leader of the world. BJP is a brand and today the people of India trust this brand.” “I believe that the Prime Minister is born for the salvation of the country and he is invincible,” he said.

Ranaut claimed that after independence, Congress was also a brand but today it has become a regional party because people have lost faith in it. Before the demolition of her bungalow, Ranaut had also said that she was more afraid of the Mumbai Police than the “movie mafia” and had compared the Maharashtra capital with Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
