The second batch of Indians deals with the US landed at Amritsar Airport late on Saturday night. The batch included 116 illegal Indian migrants, which were rushed to Amritsar Airport by American military aircraft on Saturday night. Daljit Singh, who was involved in the batch, claimed on Sunday that he was wearing handcuffs during the journey and chains were chained in his feet. Singh told the media in Hoshiarpur, “We had chains in our feet and handcuffs in the hands.”
Singh said in response to a question that he was taken to America by ‘Dunki’ (illegal) route. The ‘Dunky’ route is an illegal and risky route that migrants to enter America. Singh’s wife Kamalpreet Kaur alleged that her husband was cheated by a ‘travel agent’. He said that ‘travel agent’ had promised to take Singh to America by direct flight, but instead took him illegally. Kamalpreet said that a person from his village had arranged a ‘travel agent’ for Singh’s visit. He said that the agent had assured him to take him to America in a legal manner but later when he was taken to several places, he doubted the validity of the journey.

An aircraft with 116 illegal migrants from the US landed at Amritsar International Airport late on Saturday night. Official sources said that the aircraft landed at the airport at 11.35 pm instead of the expected time of 10 pm. It is the second batch of Indians exiled after February 5 by the administration led by US President Donald Trump as part of action on illegal migrants. In these, people belonging to Punjab were rushed to their house in police vehicles at around 4.30 am on Sunday after examining immigration and background.
The Haryana government also made arrangements for transportation for people deported from the state. The first batch of illegal migrants was deported on February 5. Many people involved had said that they wanted to go to America for a better life for their families but their agent cheated him. However, his dreams broke when he was caught on the US border and washed back to fetters.

According to sources, the second batch includes 65 from Punjab, 33 from Haryana, eight from Gujarat, two each from Uttar Pradesh, Goa, Maharashtra and Rajasthan and one each from Himachal Pradesh and Jammu and Kashmir. According to sources, most of the exiled people are aged between 18 and 30 years. Official sources said that the third aircraft is expected to reach India on 16 February with 157 exiled.
