Hyderabad captain Tilak Verma completed his century in just 51 balls against Meghalaya in the first match of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. This was the third time in 10 days that he crossed the 3-figure mark in T20 cricket. Tilak Verma came to bat at number three in the match. He completed his half-century in 28 balls.
Incidentally, in the series against South Africa itself, Tilak Verma became the second batsman after his teammate Sanju Samson of Team India to score consecutive T20 centuries. 22-year-old Tilak Verma has played a total of 92 T20 matches so far.
