The SCO met on 26 June 2025 in Kingtau, China. The way India did amazing in Operation Sindoor. In this, it has been decided that Russia will help India to modernize 30 MKI fighter aircraft. India is going to upgrade fleet of its Air Force, SU-30mki fighter aircraft, which is an important step to maintain air superiority in unstable region. India and Russia are discussing advanced radar, electronic war system and air-to-air missiles to modernize SU-30mki. This latest development underlines India’s strategic partnership with Russia as it is dealing with increasing tension with neighboring countries China and Pakistan, as well as moving towards more self -sufficiency in defense manufacturing. The purpose of modernization attempt is to keep SU-30mki competitive against rapidly sophisticated rivals.
