The Ambassador of US President Donold Trump for Ukraine and Russia said on Friday that he had a comprehensive discussion about the three -year war with Russia with Ukraine President Volodimir Jailonsky and is a courageous leader.
The retired American Lieutenant General Keith Kelog went to Kiev on Wednesday and was to hold a press conference with Jailonsky on Thursday but the event was changed in the last moment.
The US Ambassador and Jailonsky came in front of the media and took only pictures. Later, Kelog said in his ‘post’ on the social media platform ‘X’ that the “long conversation day with the top leadership of Ukraine. He appears as a courageous leader in the midst of war. ”
His comment is recently contrary to the criticism made by Trump and other senior US authorities about Jailonski. Trump recently called Jailonski a dictator and warned that he should move towards rapid talks to end the war.
Doubt has increased tension in the Kiev due to suspicion on getting significant US military assistance to Ukraine. Uncomfortable European governments are coming forward to help Gelonski as well as the ignoring in the conversation between senior American and Russian authorities and is also trying to avoid the rift in the ‘transatlantic’ relationship.
Poland President Andrez Duda said that Jailonsky called him on Friday. Duda said that he has asked Jailonsky to be committed to stay on the path of creative cooperation with Trump.
