Vaibhav, who entered the IPL 2025 mega auction with a base price of Rs 30 lakh, was bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.10 crore. After the deal worth crores in IPL, once again questions are being raised on Vaibhav’s age. But his father has called these rumors completely wrong. His father told that Vaibhav’s bone test has been done and he is not afraid of getting the age test done again.

Sanjeev Suryavanshi told PTI that, when he was 8.5 years old, BCCI got him done for the first time for bone test. He has already played Under-19 for India. We are not afraid of anyone and he can undergo the age test again.

Vaibhav recently scored the fastest century by an Indian in the Under-19 Test. He achieved this milestone against Australia Under-1-9 team at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai in October 2024. In his very first red ball match, he scored a century in just 58 balls. Apart from this, in January this year, he also became the youngest player to debut in Ranji Trophy.

Sanjeev said that now he is not just our son but the son of entire Bihar. My son has worked very hard and at the age of eight he performed brilliantly in the Under-16 District Trials.
